At CrossFit de l’ouest, the owners are trainers so we have a vested interest in seeing you succeed in your goals. Our goal is to lead you down the path to achieving your goals, whether that goal is changing your body composition (add muscle/lose fat), improving your athletic performance in your sport of choice, increasing your general fitness, or some combination of these and other objectives.

At CrossFit de l’ouest, we do not ascribe to the notion of one-size-fits-all training; we take our daily workouts and tailor them to meet your goals every time you show up. We take the time to discuss and track your progress to get you get the results you want as fast as possible and tweak your programming to make sure it is optimal for your circumstances.

Julie Beaumont has been working as a fitness professional for the past 5 years.  As a three time member of the Canadian National Premier Women’s Dragon Boat Team (2005, 2007, &  2009), she shares her passion for sport, fitness, and paddling with others by coaching amateur and competitive dragon boat teams throughout the year.

Julie’s experience in the fitness industry is based on a wide range of sport and training related fields; group fitness, personal training, coaching and teaching. Julie is enthusiastic, passionate, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, loves what she does. In order to help educate and entertain others about fitness, she also began writing articles; through her work and her writing she hopes to reach her audience by informing, educating and interesting them in fitness.

Christian has been involved in sports and fitness since childhood having played both competitive hockey and baseball for much of his youth, representing the Lac St-Louis region in the Jeux du Quebec. Christian further his pursued his athletic endeavors by playing varsity baseball during his time at McGill which gave him exposure to a high level strength and conditioning program. He has been practicing CrossFit since January 2008, and is a firm believer in the CrossFit methodology having significantly changed his body composition and improved all aspects of his fitness thanks to the program. Prior to co-founding CrossFit de l’ouest, Christian has trained at CrossFit Montreal, which he represented in the Canada East Qualifier event for the 2009 CrossFit Games. Christian now hopes draw from all his past experience to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for CrossFit with others in the West-Island.

Louis-Philippe Boudreault

Since he started training in 2007, Louis-Philippe’s fitness journey has been driven by a desire to better his knowledge on all thing health and fitness, which made him discover CrossFit in 2009. Although he has most of his training years still ahead of him, he has already seen serious adaptations with CrossFit, compelling him to adjust his focus to the methodology. Louis-Philippe is a now passionate coach and he is always asking questions and trying to educate himself for his own benefits and those of others. Being an undergraduate student at HEC Montreal, tries to maintain a balanced lifestyle between school, the gym and everything else! LP loves interacting with people and is
more than happy to share his passion for fitness with his entourage.

Philippe De Buhan

Phil has been passionate about sports and fitness ever since he was little. He has played many different sports: hockey, soccer, snowboarding, and running. He has also coached a junior “AA” hockey team.

Since the age of 16, Phil has been training with many different personal trainers to become a firefighter. It’s when he went to firefighter school that he did his first CrossFit workout. He loved how the physical activity of a CrossFit workout resembles to the physical activity that a firefighter will go encouter during a fire and decided to pick it up as his training method.

Phil has been working out at CrossFit de l’ouest for over a year and has considerably improved his strength and endurance. Seeing his own results, Phil pursued and obtained his CrossFit level 1 certification and now coaches to help people increase their fitness level just as he did his.

Raphael Hamad

  • CrossFit Level 1 Certified Trainer

Raphael got involved in competitive sports at a very young age, playing soccer as a child, earning his 2nd Dan Karate Black Belt at the age of 13, and skiing competitively as a teen; all of which culminated into the commencement of his serious strength and conditioning journey in 2007.
In 2010 he discovered the CrossFit methodology and joined CrossFit de l’ouest in September 2010. Now studying in Biochemistry, Raphael is a passionate individual eager to excel at everything he undertakes.
Wishing to improve his knowledge of CrossFit and to share it with others, he obtained his Certified Level 1 Crossfit certification in 2011.


Sandra Lopes

Sandra’s passion for sports dates back to her Brookwood Basketball days, during which she played competitive basketball, continuing to play at Dawson College. After moving south to the US and completing a graduate degree in sports administration at Georgia State University, Sandra went on to become a boot camp instructor and manager of a renowned fitness organization in Atlanta. She began working out at AK CrossFit in January 2010 and by June she had achieved her CrossFit Level 1 Coaching certificate. Besides making great progress towards her personal fitness goals through CrossFit, Sandra’s athletic achievements include the completion of the 2009 Chicago and 2011 San Diego marathons. She is also a strict follower of the Paleolithic Diet, having attended Robb Wolf’s Paleo Solution’s nutrition seminar. When she isn’t working out, Sandra practices yoga and is always eager to pass along her love and passion for CrossFit.
